A Teacher Remembers Bible Camp June 25, 2007 By Beverly Stoll, GTO Center staff A GTO staff-member recalls her experience at a Karen Bible Camp in March 2007.
The week of Bible Camp was one that I will not soon forget. We had so much fun playing games, doing crafts, teaching English, singing, teaching Bible classes--and just seeing their way of life. As I think of these precious children, I am again reminded of how much God loves them and has a special plan for their lives.

The last night sticks out in my mind. We had a short closing program, and as the children came through to thank us and say good-bye, many of them were crying. I guess I never realized how special this week actually was to them. I was challenged to put more effort into these dear lives, because we may never know the impact we have on them for the future.
Yes, it was a hot, busy week. We left behind the comforts of home, ate food we were not used to eating, slept on harder floors, and sometimes were awakened very early by all the roosters, but it was a week that I would gladly do again. These children became very dear to my heart in a few short days. My prayer is that they were able to see the love of Jesus shining through our lives.
